3 Basics of Growing Your Instagram Profile ( With an exclusive steal deal in the end…)
The creator economy is predicted to reach $528.39 billion by 2030.
You are missing out if you are not thinking about being a creator.
Now, I am not asking you to leave your 9-5 and go broke!
I am asking you to build your brand.
Building your brand should be a non-negotiable no matter what you do professionally.
And here’s how you can do this in the next 90 days.
(P.S.- Building a brand in 90 days doesn’t mean there will be nothing to do after 90 days.
90 days is a time frame you commit to, to begin your content creation journey and build your brand.
Remember, building your brand is a long-term game. Simply put – it’s about documenting your life while making your audience feel ‘something’)
Three basics of growing your Instagram –
1. Introspect.
I get a lot of questions from you all.
The one that repeats consistently is…
What topic should I create content on?
The answer is simple. However, it is not easy.
Finding what you should talk about on the internet without getting bored is like finding your sweet spot.
You need to ask yourself these four questions –
- What do I love?
- What am I good at?
- What can I be paid for?
- What matters to me the most?
Once you have nailed down the answers to these questions to the best of your capacity, I want you to sit with them.
Sit with them for days, and read your answers unless you are fully satisfied with what you have written.
Once you are happy with your answers, see the words that repeat the most. The ones that does is your sweet spot.
Those should be the content pillars to work on.
2. Know Your Story
Humans love a good story.
The good news is that building a brand is about sharing your story.
The right way to tell a story is to understand the plot, the main character and the story.
Most people I have met and seen, live a life without being mindful. They don’t know why they like or dislike something. They don’t hold opinions. They don’t have their thoughts. Even if they do, they don’t know how to articulate their thoughts.
This means they can talk but mostly, they don’t know what they are talking about.
If this offends you – good. It’s time to change.
Go back to the your story. Become a script writer for a while.
Disassociate yourself from your story and think about yourself as the lead character.
What did you do? How did you overcome obstacles? What are your values? Nail them all down.
Think about it and write your answers until you are completely satisfied with it.
3. Write
My therapist tells me that the best way to process your feelings is to write.
Well, they are right.
But writing is not just about processing your feelings when you are sad.
It’s about processing your thoughts too.
So you can rightfully present them—To yourself and your audience as well.
Writing will help you to present your story in a way that hooks your audience. It is not a gifted talent, it is a learnable skill. You have to learn the craft of it.
Practice writing over and over again so that people love to watch your show and listen what you tell.
Remember, anyone can talk, but it takes a storyteller to hook you from start to end.
Humans are natural storytellers. You have it in you, all you need now, is tap into it and get started.
